Travis earned a bachelor's degree in criminal justice from the University of Nebraska at Kearney. He is a native of Exeter, Nebraska, (home of the Eagles) and he and his wife have three children, Brady, 15, Dawson, 10 and Kealy, 6.

Travis enjoys sports, hunting and spending time with his family.
