He’s done it again! This time, he kicked it up a notch by making it national. Sam Wageman’s authenticity and leadership landed him another 40 under 40 award, just under the wire. We think he’s just trying to collect as many of these as possible before his under-40 status is up.

A big part of our success is driven by terrific people at the helm. Sam Wageman has proven himself as a top entrepreneur and leader in Omaha. (It probably helps that he’s under 40 too.)
Oops, we did it again! Yeah… we know that song isn’t really that relevant now, but Fusion sure is. And we just keep on getting bigger and better. What’s next, a Grammy?

Remember when Oreo came out with Double Stuf Oreos? Mind blown. Basically, same thing here: Fusion just doubled up on their growth. How is this even possible? You can't make this stuff up, you guys! We're going nuts around here with excitement over our recent recognition as one of the Best Places to Work in Omaha two years in a row! This award "recognizes those employers in Greater Omaha that have created truly great, engaged places to work." Yep, that's us.

OMG! We won 1st place! We know! We're not surprised either! Er...we mean… we humbly accept this award. Thank you to The Greater Omaha Chamber and, of course, to the entire Fusion team. We kind of knew we were the best, and now everyone else does, too.
We love Cardio! Cardiology that is. Cath Lab is a beast of its own and deserves a team that knows Cardiology. Soooo... what does Fusion do? Bring in the big guns that live and breathe Cath Lab, obviously! Our experienced Cath Lab Division is dedicated to RNs and RTs who specialize in Cath Lab, Interventional Radiology, and EP. After all, Cath Lab peeps are superheroes. Saving lives and mending broken hearts is the name of their game. Taylor Swift should look at becoming besties with these guys.
The Nursing Division (which is so awesome by the way and growing exponentially as we speak) is led by what we call "The Two Dans". Their wives also share a name. No one has ever seen the Dans in the same place at the same time, so YOU DO THE MATH. No really, please do the math because verbal skills are really where our skills lie, and math is hard.
It's just like Breaking Bad, but without the uh...okay it's nothing like Breaking Bad. It's a mobile lab division run by two of the coolest dudes you'll ever meet — Chad and Corey. In fact, they should have their own show! They could call it "Breaking Chad."
We were so used to working practically on top of one another, we literally didn't know what to do with ourselves in a 7,000-square-foot office. For the first few weeks we just sat in the corners, rocking back and forth while burning cubicle walls for warmth. Eventually, we all got used to the space, but sometimes a loud noise will send Sam running into the supply closet to "feel the okay feelings again."
So many high fives this day! And hugs... And poppin’ bottles, or whatever the kids say about champagne and parties these days.
If Colleen was our Wonder Woman, then Travis Mason, Senior Account Executive, is our Hawkeye. Because of the arrows and bullseyes and... okay, look, we just really, really like Hawkeye. He's the best Avenger in our opinion. Do you guys want to talk about comic books? Why is it so quiet all of a sudden? Anyway, Travis really does hit his mark every time. (Just like Hawkeye.)
Oh boy, were we ever excited to be out of Basement Land™. Except, well, there was a mysterious noxious odor to our new office. We probably shouldn't have even mentioned it and yet here we are mentioning it anyway. Because that is how we roll. Honesty is very important to us — almost as important as the liberal application of several gallons of Febreze around our exciting new office space.
Like the moon landing or the day the Berlin Wall came down, everyone remembers the day we hired Colleen Mooseman. Fusion's first traveling physical therapist, Colleen was (and still is) like a superhero or a goddess — or both! Like Wonder Woman. Colleen Mooseman is Wonder Woman is what we are trying to say.
If you've seen The Social Network (the Facebook movie), you basically already know the story of Fusion Medical's inception. Granted, there are a few discrepancies. For instance, instead of working from the privileged confines of a Harvard dorm room, Sam and Scott toiled from a heatless, barebones basement in Nebraska. And instead of creating Facebook, they built a business that, you know... contributes positively to the healthcare of human beings. And they are not bajilliontrillionaires. Yet. Other than those few things, however, it's totally the same story.
