Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled Radiology Manager for a 13 week travel assignment in St. Peter, Minnesota. Required Qualifications:
- One year’s experience as a Radiology Manager
- Current BLS Certification (AHA/ARC)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Current ACLS, PALS Certification
- Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
- Current ARRT Certification
- Additional certifications may be required depending on specialty
Summary:
The Radiology Manager oversees and coordinates the radiology department's operations, ensuring efficient and high-quality imaging services. This role encompasses managing radiologic technologists, implementing policies and procedures, maintaining equipment, and collaborating with healthcare teams to provide excellent patient care. The position requires strong leadership, clinical expertise, critical thinking abilities, excellent communication, and a commitment to upholding the highest standards of patient safety and professional ethics.
Essential Work Functions:
- Oversees daily operations of the radiology department, ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality imaging services
- Manages and schedules radiologic technologists, ensuring adequate staffing levels
- Provides clinical guidance and mentorship to radiologic technologists
- Develops and implements policies, procedures, and quality control measures for the radiology department
- Maintains and ensures the proper functioning of radiology equipment
- Collaborates with physicians and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and imaging services
- Monitors and evaluates the quality of imaging studies, implementing improvements as necessary
- Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements and accreditation standards
- Maintains accurate documentation and records related to radiology services
- Facilitates effective communication between radiologic technologists, patients, families, and other healthcare team members
- Addresses and resolves patient and family concerns related to radiology services
- Promotes a culture of safety and continuous quality improvement within the radiology department
- Participates in budgeting and financial management for the radiology department
- Maintains confidentiality of patients and staff information
- Follows and enforces hospital safety rules and procedures
- Identifies and reports unsafe work conditions, implementing corrective actions as needed
- Ensures adherence to the facility's Exposure Control Plan based on OSHA's Bloodborne Pathogen Standard and CDC guidelines for healthcare personnel
Required Essential Skills:
- Critical thinking, service excellence and good interpersonal communication skills
- The ability to read, write, & communicate in the English language is required
- Ability to read/comprehend written instructions, follow verbal instructions, and proficiency in PC skills
- Physical Abilities - Remain in a stationary position, move about, move equipment (50-100lbs), pushing, pulling, bending
- Interpersonal Skills - To work effectively with a variety of personnel (professional and ancillary) to present a positive attitude and professionalism
- Technical/Motor Skills - Ability to grasp, fine manipulation, pushing/pulling and able to move about when assisting with procedures and/or using department equipment.
- Mental Requirements - Must be able to cope with frequent contact with the general public, customers, and meeting deadlines under pressure. Must be able to work under close supervision occasionally as well as working without assistance from other personnel. Must be able to contend with irregular activity schedules occasionally and continuous concentration to detail
- Sensory - Visual acuity, ability to effectively communicate.
