Alaska is NOT an NLC member state. Nurses with compact multistate licenses from other states must obtain an Alaska-specific license via endorsement or exam; compact privileges do not extend to Alaska practice. Endorsement is the standard path and typically faster than exam for licensed nurses.
Endorsement Process
Alaska uses a mail/pdf application endorsement process for registered nurses already licensed in another state. You'll need to submit your completed application along with supporting documents and the $100 application fee.

Failure to maintain good standing with current state license holders automatic revocation of temporary privileges.
