Oregon is a PT Compact member state. Travel PTs holding an active multistate license from another compact member state can practice immediately under compact privilege without submitting an endorsement application or exam. Non-compact candidates must complete mail endorsement, jurisprudence exam, and board review (4-6 weeks).
For travelers, this means you can begin an Oregon assignment immediately if your home state is also a PT Compact member and your license is set to multistate status. However, if you establish Oregon residency during your assignment, your compact privilege becomes invalid and you must apply for an Oregon license through endorsement.
Endorsement Process
Oregon uses a mail/pdf application endorsement process for physical therapists already licensed in another state. You'll need to submit your completed application along with supporting documents and the $187 application fee.
