Practitioners holding an unencumbered home-state license in a member state that has launched on CompactConnect may register at app.compactconnect.org/Dashboard. Board requires applicants to contact the office BEFORE applying for compact privilege ('PLEASE CONTACT BOARD OFFICE BEFORE YOU APPLY FOR THE COMPACT'). Other applicants must apply under §29-1-3 (no separate endorsement track exists).
For travelers, this means you can begin a West Virginia assignment immediately if your home state is also an ASLP-IC member and your license is set to multistate status. However, if you establish West Virginia residency during your assignment, your compact privilege becomes invalid and you must apply for a West Virginia license through endorsement.
