Question 1

How much experience do I need for travel CNA jobs?

Accepted Answer

Travel CNA positions typically require one to two years of recent clinical experience. Most facilities prefer candidates with diverse experience across multiple healthcare settings, as this demonstrates adaptability and a broader skill set. Requirements vary significantly by facility type, location, and patient population. Some assignments may consider candidates with less experience if they have specialized skills or certifications in areas like dementia care or rehabilitation. Your Fusion recruiter can help identify opportunities that align with your current experience level and clinical background, matching you with facilities seeking your specific qualifications and helping you build the experience needed for more competitive assignments.

Question 2

What certifications do I need for travel CNA positions?

Accepted Answer

Travel CNA positions typically require State CNA certification along with any state-specific licensure requirements. Additional certifications may be valued depending on the facility and assignment type. Your recruiter can guide you on specific certification requirements for each opportunity.

Question 3

How long are travel CNA assignments?

Accepted Answer

Travel CNA assignments typically run 13 weeks, which is the standard across travel healthcare. Some facilities offer shorter or longer contracts, and extensions are common when both you and the facility are a good fit. Your Fusion recruiter can find assignments that match your preferred timeline.

Question 4

How much do travel CNA professionals make?

Accepted Answer

Travel CNA compensation varies by location, facility type, and demand. Pay packages typically include a base hourly rate, housing stipend, and travel reimbursement. Compensation is often competitive compared to staff positions. Contact a Fusion recruiter to discuss current pay packages for your specialty and preferred locations.

Question 5

How do I start travel CNA with Fusion Medical Staffing?

The process includes discussing clinical experience, certification status, preferred work settings, and desired assignment locations.
