Rhode Island has joined the ASLP-IC, but the state is not yet issuing or honoring compact privileges. Until Rhode Island begins processing privileges, travelers must obtain a Rhode Island-specific license through the endorsement process before practicing here.
Rhode Island is a member of the ASLP Interstate Compact (ASLP-IC) but the compact is not yet operational for Rhode Island; as of early 2026, compact privileges are only being issued to licensees in Louisiana, Ohio, and West Virginia.
