Travel Rehab RN Jobs in North Carolina

Travel Rehab RN positions typically require one to two years of recent specialty experience. Most facilities prefer candidates with demonstrated clinical competency in rehabilitation nursing settings. Experience across diverse patient populations and facility types strengthens your candidacy. Requirements vary significantly by facility and location, so your specific background may open doors to assignments at different experience levels. A recruiter can help identify positions that align with your experience, ensuring you're matched with roles where you'll thrive and contribute meaningfully from day one.

Travel Rehab RN positions require an active RN license and current BLS certification. CRRN (Certified Rehabilitation Registered Nurse) certification from the Rehabilitation Nursing Certification Board is commonly preferred by facilities. FIM (Functional Independence Measure) scoring competency is typically expected for documenting patient progress and functional status. Some facilities may also prefer ACLS certification depending on patient acuity levels. Requirements vary by facility and state, with certain locations having additional credentialing processes or specialty-specific competency validations. Your recruiter will review the specific certification requirements for each assignment and help you understand any additional credentials needed before your start date.

Travel Rehab RN assignments typically run 13 weeks. This is the standard contract length across travel healthcare, though shorter assignments may be available depending on facility needs. Extensions are common when both the traveler and facility agree to continue the placement. Contract lengths can sometimes be adjusted based on specific facility requirements or staffing situations. Your Fusion recruiter can help you find assignments that match your preferred timeline, whether you're looking for a standard 13-week contract, a shorter assignment, or opportunities with strong extension potential in facilities that frequently extend their travel staff.
