Travel CT opens access to scanner platforms and advanced imaging capabilities you might not encounter at one facility. GE Revolution, Siemens SOMATOM, Philips Ingenuity—each platform has its own interface, reconstruction algorithms, and protocol library. Every assignment expands your technical repertoire with new equipment, new protocols, and new clinical challenges. Protocol variation is the defining reality of travel CT. What one facility uses as a standard abdomen protocol—slice thickness, contrast timing, reconstruction kernels—looks completely different at the next. That adaptation challenge is also your growth opportunity. You learn to troubleshoot unfamiliar interfaces, navigate different PACS systems, and adjust your technique to facility-specific preferences.
Your Fusion recruiter specializes in radiology and understands CT at the platform level. They match you to facilities based on your scanner experience—if you know GE systems well and want to build Siemens expertise, your recruiter filters assignments to match that goal. Fusion handles ARRT R.T.(CT) credentialing and state radiologic technologist licensing, managing paperwork so you focus on imaging. Day one health coverage, housing assistance, and travel reimbursement come standard. One dedicated recruiter learns your equipment preferences, your emergency versus outpatient preference, and the shift structure that works for your life.
